Irad Hits 7 in a Row + Holy Bull Trip Notes
Oh and someone stole a horse trophy...
Irad Ortiz is Having a Day!
You may know him as one of the leading jockeys in the USA. We prefer to know him as the jockey with the meanest bowl cut in the game.
The man, the myth, the legend just won 7 in a row at Gulfstream Park which has never been done in the track's history.
We'd like to thank Jose for helping to make this happen!

Sam Houston is not Having a Day!
In a recent Tweet Sam Houston Race Park made an abrupt decision to not simulcast racing as it had previously announced due to ongoing back and forth with the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority (HISA). There are rumors abound that Dana White may actually try to hold a UFC match to settle this thing once and for all, we'll keep you posted.
Britain Says Wear Whatever the Hell You Want
The Jockey Club, which operates 15 of the largest horse racing tracks in Britain, has ended its formal dress code to make the sport more inclusive. As a result, racegoers are now free to wear whatever they want at all Jockey Club tracks, including Cheltenham, Aintree, Newmarket, Epsom, and Sandown. This change eliminates the strict dress code that previously required men to wear jackets in certain enclosures, even during hot weather, and prohibited jeans and shorts. In 2020, two racegoers were denied entry to Sandown's most expensive enclosure for wearing sneakers. Get those Adidas tracksuits on and head to the races!
Famous Horse Racing Trophy Stolen
The Grand Annual Steeple Chase cup, a renowned horse racing trophy, has been taken by burglars in a break-in at a Sheffield silversmith. The cup was being prepared for the upcoming Cheltenham Festival when it was stolen along with other items from Camelot Silverware on Gibraltar Street at around 18:00 GMT on Thursday.
The Grand Annual Steeple Chase is a two-mile race with 14 fences, one of the oldest in UK horse racing, beginning in 1834. The trophy was revived in the early 20th century and has been part of the Cheltenham Festival since 1913, taking place on the second day of the meeting.
