Draft Kings and Churchill Downs Partner Up

Are we going to be able to add the winner of the Kentucky Derby to our sports parlay?  Are we getting fixed odds now?  Is our gambling problem about to get a lot worse?

Time will tell as it appears DraftKings is launching a new betting vertical, DK Horse, utilizing odds and technology from Churchill Downs.  DK Horse will launch as a separate app, with a wallet distinct from the DraftKings sportsbook, iGaming, and fantasy product. The company plans to merge them at a later date.  Read the full article here.

Turfway Park Kicks off Their Winter Meet

Turfway Park has spent $145 million on renovating its new racing facility and we'll certainly try to match that betting into the Pick 6.  Turfway will race Wednesdays through Saturdays through the holiday meet, which ends Dec. 31, and through the first two months of a winter-spring meet, which runs through April 1. Wednesdays will be dropped in March. Turfway will race under the lights except on Saturdays when racing will be held during the afternoon.

According to DRF.com - Seating with a racetrack view is quite limited with the recent renovation. The new building is only a couple of stories high, and sightlines are not ideal for the race-caller or racing officials.

Yikes, but hey we're still playing.  What else do you have to do on a Wednesday night?

Turfway Betting Pro Tip: Include Corrales in every horizontal bet you make.  (Don't say we never helped you).

Should Touts be Using the ALL Button... Ever?

If you're a public handicapper should you be encouraging your audience to use the 'All' button not once, but twice in a Pick-4 sequence?  It appears that Matt Carothers certainly feels that way in this play for TVG.

The bet missed on leg 1 for those keeping track at home.  The $.50 Pick 4 (4/6-2-1-1) (4 Correct) Paid: $246.90.  The total pick 4 Pool was $26,696.00.

Right or wrong?  You decide.

Luis Saez Wins Riding Title at Churchill Downs

Tyler Gaffalione might be punching the air somewhere right now because Luis Saez just became the new King of Kentucky by winning the 2022 Fall meet at Churchill Downs.

His 23 victories during the meet, which ran from Oct. 30 through Nov. 27, put him two clear of Tyler Gaffalione despite the latter's rally on closing day.  Get the full story and see how the trainer standings came in on HRN
